Cause: Water in the Drain Pan Tripped the Float Switch
Because the washer sits stacked inside a laundry room cabinet, Kevin uninstalled it and removed the rear panel to see what the machine was reacting to. The answer was underneath: water had built up in the bottom drain pan, and that water had lifted the safety float switch that triggers the Waterproof System message.

Solution: Dried, Tested, and Cleared
With the pan dry and the likely leak points checked, the real test is running the machine. Kevin started a warm wash cycle and watched it for roughly twenty minutes, looking for any water escaping. No leaks appeared, the washer drained exactly as designed, and the unit went back into its cabinet position.
A final operations check came back clean: all functions tested good, no water leaks detected. The customer was shown what was found, and since no active leak turned up during testing, no parts were replaced. The whole visit took a little over two hours.
