Straight answers to the questions we hear on the phone every week: what a visit costs, what the warranty really covers, and how scheduling works.
$165 across most of the OKC metro, and $175 south of I-40. Downtown Oklahoma City is $200, because parking downtown costs money and time. The service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, and Shana tells you the number when you book, before anything is scheduled.
The first appliance is the standard service call; each additional appliance on the same visit is $85. Having us look at two or three things in one trip is common, and it’s the economical way to do it.
No. There’s no brand-based upcharge: a Miele or a Sub-Zero pays the same service call as anything else, and the repair itself is priced flat-rate after diagnosis.
Yes, case by case, anywhere in Oklahoma. Outside the metro the service call is $175 plus $2 per mile round trip. Shana gives you the exact math before you book.
The technician diagnoses your appliance and quotes the exact price of the repair before any work begins. The price you approve is the price you pay, no matter how long the job takes.
Two things: the parts your appliance needs and the labor to install them. After the diagnosis you get one flat-rate price for the complete repair, and you approve it before any work begins. There are no brand-based upcharges, and the price you approve is the price you pay.
Credit or debit card, check, or cash, whichever is easiest. We take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
When the service is completed. If a part has to be ordered and we come back to finish the repair, the service call fee is due at the first visit, and the rest is due when the repair is done.
One year on parts and labor, on the part we installed. If that part fails within the year, we make it right, parts and labor both.
No, and honesty matters here: the warranty covers the part we installed and the labor to install it, not the rest of the machine. A new drain pump doesn’t insure a ten-year-old control board.
Thirty days. Decide within thirty days and the price holds, with no additional trip fee: you pay exactly what was estimated.
Shana books you onto your zone’s next available day with a real date, not a window that slips. If you need us sooner, ask about the early-opening list: when a cancellation opens your zone earlier, she’ll call and bump you up.
Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. That’s when the phones are answered and the trucks are out.
The Oklahoma City metro and Edmond are home turf, and we serve surrounding areas and the rest of Oklahoma case by case. Call, and Shana will confirm coverage for your address.
No, Posh is residential only.
Most are. When a part has to be ordered and the arrival date is known, the return visit is scheduled before the technician leaves your home, so you’re never left waiting without a date. If a part is on back-order with no ETA, Shana calls you the moment it lands.
Miele, Bosch, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, and Viking are the core of our work, and the high-end kitchen is where we live. Ask Shana about anything else; if we don’t service your brand, she’ll tell you straight.
On a high-end appliance, almost always: these machines are engineered to be repaired, and a flat-rate repair typically costs a fraction of replacement. When the honest answer is to replace it, we’ll say that too.
Yes, gas and electric both, including professional-grade gas ranges and cooktops. Gas work has been part of the trade for all 28 years Jason has been repairing appliances, and sealed-system refrigeration work is likewise done in-house.
If you ever smell gas, leave the house first and call 911 or Oklahoma Natural Gas. Once the line is safe, we handle the appliance repair.
Jason or Kevin, Posh’s own career technicians. Posh never sends subcontractors: Jason has spent 28 years repairing appliances, and every job runs through the same diagnose-first process no matter who is at your door.
Not as of right now. Our focus is repair, so we don’t offer installation for appliances purchased elsewhere.
Compare the repair quote against the true cost of replacing: the new machine, installation, haul-away, and for built-in appliances the cabinetry work to fit a different unit. High-end appliances are engineered for long service lives, so a repair often buys years of remaining life for a fraction of replacement cost. Your estimate is good for 30 days, so there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
Usually not. Premium brands engineer for long service lives, and Miele, for example, builds to a 20-year design life. A ten-year-old premium machine is often mid-life, and every repair is backed by a 1-year parts and labor warranty on the installed part.
When the diagnosis shows the machine is truly at the end of its road, we say so. The service call fee covers the diagnosis and an honest answer either way. If repair is not worth it, you will hear that from us, and the estimate still holds for 30 days if you want time to think it over.
